Supporting Educators Through Connection, Research and Wellbeing

Across North Wales, the Well Educators Foundation brings educators together to explore practical ways to improve physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. Our events provide opportunities to learn, share experiences, contribute to research and help shape future wellbeing programmes for educators.

North Wales Educator Wellbeing Event

Our recent North Wales wellbeing events brought together educators, researchers and wellbeing specialists to explore the challenges facing today’s teaching profession.

Through practical workshops, discussions and shared experiences, participants explored topics including:

  • Sleep and recovery
  • Stress and resilience
  • Menopause and educator health
  • Financial wellbeing
  • Preventative health approaches
  • Building healthier school cultures

Most importantly, these events created space for educators to talk openly about their experiences and contribute to shaping future support programmes.

"Teachers spend their lives supporting others. Sometimes they need space to be supported too."

Listening to Educators

Every event contributes to a growing body of insight about educator wellbeing.

Through surveys, conversations, workshops and ongoing engagement, educators are helping us better understand the factors that influence wellbeing, performance and long-term health within the profession.

Their experiences are helping to inform future research, resources and support programmes designed specifically for educators.

"The most valuable part wasn't being told what to do. It was realising other teachers felt exactly the same way."

From Events to Action

Our events are only one part of a much wider journey.

Insights gathered through educator engagement help inform:

  • Wellbeing research
  • Pilot programmes
  • Think Tank discussions
  • Future training opportunities
  • Digital wellbeing tools and resources
  • Community support initiatives

We believe meaningful change begins by listening carefully to the people who experience these challenges every day.

"The most valuable part wasn't small changes, made consistently, can have a profound impact on wellbeing." being told what to do. It was realising other teachers felt exactly the same way."

Looking Ahead

Future events will continue to focus on creating supportive environments where educators can learn, connect and contribute to the future of educator wellbeing.

We are particularly interested in working with educators who want to help shape new approaches to preventative health, wellbeing and professional sustainability.
